my pathfinder is still backfiring i recheck the plugwires you think it could be the kind of plugs i used?

I used mid plugs (Bosch plat.) mid grade wires,rotor button,mid grade rotor cap

sounds like a timing issue to me check your timing

    You did no say anything about the year or mileage. A worn out exhaust lobe on the cam shaft would cause it to back fire out of the intake.

    It’s not the plugs causing a backfire. Either you have the wires connected improperly, or the timing has gone out. I know you checked it, but sometimes a person gets tunnel vision when checking their own work. Check them again. or remove them and start over. How severe is the backfire? Is it through the intake or the exhaust?
