I have a stock 2002 Pathfinder with upsized tires(255/70R16). They are a Yokahama Geoloander Highway Trail and when they had full tread they would rub when i turned the wheel sharply. I want the same size tire but an all terrain. I know these will rub when i turn the wheel sharply but can I get away with it?
Look you may not want to hear this but Don’t. I know you want to look cool and everyone is doing it but there are factors you are not considering. Like the speed-o-meter is now off and you can get a ticket even though you are going what the speed-o meter is saying, It is harder to steer and maintain a straight line on the highway. The front end now need to be realigned for the bigger tires, In my eyes it is not worth the cost.
This is from a mechanic that knows.
