2001 Nissan Pathfinder speed increases on its own while driving?

Has anyone know or heard of 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD (automatic) speed increase out of control on its own while driving. The truck was driving at about 30 mph and all of the sudden it took off on its own and out of control, not really sure what happened.

unattended acceleration? Electronic throttle chamber uses two different signals to adjust the amount of throttle. It is almost imposable to make the throttle do something wrong with out also setting a check engine light. Floor mat sliding forward. Accidental throttle foot placement big shoes? This is very serious better get it by the Nissan Dealer for testing of engine codes. Any recent modifications to the intake system. Mileage saving tornado air spinners can move into the throttle and mess up the throttle opening. Recent Battery replacement? How many miles? Cruise Control is integrated into the throttle system this 3.5 liter truck does not have a throttle cable.
