ive been looking around and trying to find a great watch. Ive found a couple that look great but just not sure. The best one ive found so far was a Casio Pathfinder PAW1300T-7V. Anybody have any suggestions? Price not an issue.
If price isn’t an issue (and it always is) go with a name brand like Rolex, Tag Heur, Breitling or many other watches that will not depreciate too much in value.
I have a 500 watch collection with all of the above brands and many cheaper watches. Strangely enough the ones I favor are the Citizen Eco Drive watches for price and build quality. They have some excellent "complications" too. I would avoid Invicta- I have 32 and they are OK when they work but if you need them fixed you’ll wait 4-6 months for Invicta to return it to you.
Croton also makes good inexpensive watches with some nice features and interesting styles.
Whatever you do don’t buy from a jewelry store. Shop online-eBay is good if you review the seller’s rating and have a return privilege.
There are many watch review sites you can find though a Google search once you narrow your choices down.
Email me if you have a specific question about a watch-I may be able to help. I also have a Rolex 18K gold President, day/date quickset I would be interested in selling and it’s like new. Just serviced by Roles (routine 5 year service-no damage).
I forgot to mention Stuhrling watches. They have some great styles, including many unique "retro pieces, and usually sell for under $500.
Check out watchgeeks.net for what collectors are saying about many watch styles.
