Is the 2010 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

I am considering getting one of these in the LE V8. Trading in a 2002 Tahoe LS valued at about $5500. I have looked at virtually every car on the market and this appears to be a good one. The reviews on Edmunds and such were good and I like the look of it.

For anyone out there who has one, do you like it? Pros/Cons?
The $5500 on the Tahoe is Blue Book Trade-in Value.

go for it

Seeing as it’s an SUV and not a car…

No, it’s not a very good car.

But it makes an alright SUV.

And the $5500 on blue book value…has nothing to do with anything.

Seriously. A dealership doesn’t care what a book says. They go by what it’s worth to them, if they were to turn it around and sell it.

KBB is about the most worthless thing on the planet, because thousands of car owners use it, ignore the fact that it says that it is ONLY a guide, and think that they have found the value of their vehicle. In fact, they have not. And by using it, they waste their time, and the time of the dealership, as they try to argue the "book value".

Expect around $2000 in trade in value.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com
