Comments on: looking to buy new either a nissan pathfinder or chevy trailblazer ..any help which i should choose thanks.?

i just bought a trail blazer 3 months ago and also was interested in the pathfinder, but the chevy was much better riding, much more equiped and more comfortable. The price was much less also and with everything it had more than the nissan it was a better choice. this is the 2 nd trail blazer I’ve had and they sure do ride nicely. The biggest probelm with the pathfinder was there were no extras on it and the price was much higher than the chevy.

Your question really depends on what you need an SUV for. However, in almost any case, the 2008 Pathfinder is a good bet. It has room for up to seven passengers and great cargo versatility — all three rows of seats fold or split in various ways. It also offers lots of safety equipment, and the 2007 model got good scores in crash tests. As an added bonus, the Pathfinder has great off-road capabilities with optional four-wheel drive. Its on-road ride is comfortable, though the ride can be a little bouncy.

The Chevy TrailBlazer, on the other hand, has less going for it. It’s more affordable, but falls short of the Pathfinder (and other similar SUVs) in performance, interior quality and comfort, fuel economy and even reliability. It also seats only five (two less than the Pathfinder) and its handling is rough unless you go for the more expensive SS model. Finally, the TrailBlazer doesn’t do as well as the Pathfinder in crash tests.

If you’re not completely set on buying one of these two SUVs, I’d even recommend considering the Toyota Highlander. It’s about the same cost as the other two and is getting a total redesign for 2008 that gives it a standard third-row seat (which allows it to carry seven passengers). It’s got a nice smooth ride and great safety scores. Other perks that give it an edge over the other SUVs include: a reconfigurable second row that converts from a three-person bench to two bucket seats, 10 cupholders (plus four bottle holders), and a whopping seven airbags.

and tht nissans, toyotas and hondas..last forever..

so go with the nissan..

i wouldnt trust a consumer reports car evaluation with my life. personally, i love chevy's, so i would go with the Trailblazer.
