most peole will respond Alternator, so i will assume if you are still reading this you checked that, and its ok, if the alternator tests ok and the battery is good, but you keep having problems It is your Chassis ground from the engine block causing high resistance in the charging circuit, run a wire directly from a solid point on the engine to the negative battery terminal, this will solve your problem

mine worked better if i took out the cigarette lighter thingy, it was creating a short that drained the battery. there are sites online where you can look up common problems for your vehicle by the vin number since they are based on the plant and series of your model. i found out that all jeeps make in a specific canadian plant had bad seals and mine was one of them. google common 92 pathfinder issues.

It may be alternator however check to see if you the negative battery cable is tight on the battery. Sometimes if it’s loose car won’t start.
