I’m evaluating two cars (SUV), here’s the deal:

1- Nissan pathfinder 2005 4WD, 57000 miles, some manufacturer’s warranty left, $16,000

2- Kia Borrego 2009 V6 2WD, 6500 miles, warranty 10 years or 100,000 miles, $23,000

Which one has better value overall?

Thanks all for your valuable feedback. Here are some facts to add:
- I live in westchester NY we get some snow during winter a year but upgrade to 4WD is possible
- The 2009 borrego car will be from the certified dealership and the full Kia warranty will apply.
- The 2005 nissan pathfinder also looks great and purchasing extended warranty is also possible.

In MW2, the pathfinder title is running 250 miles using lightweight. Do all miles have to be in one prestige?

I have about 120 miles and im first prestige. I just want to know if i need to try really hard to get it before i prestige or if it still accumulates even after i prestige.

yeah unfortunatly you have to do them all in one prestige. I would suggest if your not going all the way to 10th wait till you decide the prestige your going to stop at then work on it.

my pathfinder has new spark plugs ,cap,rot,fuel filter,air fiter ,pcv valve. I also ran sea foam fuel injector cleaner… But still bad gass mileage about 10mpg in town and15mpg on freeway. What do i do???

You need to have the vehicle scanned asn see what the fuel trims are doing. You may have a lazy O2 sensor, or sensor out of range. The vehicle should be running at about 215 F, the Mass Air flow sensor, Coolant temp, and Intake air temp sensors need to be accurate. It needs to be checked by a professional. Also you could hace a plugged fuel filter. You do not want to use bosch plugs, or change the programming. More power equates to less fuel milage not more. What precipitaed you bad milage have you had any services done. How many miles, is the catalyst plugged a little? And most importantly, how do you drive and what king of fuel do you use. I recommend Chevron. Stay away from Arco and costco gas. To much alcohol.

How long does it take to install a catalytic converter on a 2005 nissan pathfinder SE?

According to the service department at Nissan, it will take a whole day……..and i have to have my car at the shop at 7:30 a.m for them to start on it and get it done by the time they close at 5:30 p.m. Does it really take that long and why?

more than likely yes. exhausts are a real pain to work on, the parts rust fast and often have to be cut off, or have bolts drilled out. the actual replacement of the cat is only a unbolt and bolt back on precess in a perfect world. its getting to it, getting it off, and making sure everything is leak proof that takes a while. plus im sure they are union and will require two breaks

I have a 92 pathfinder that only starts when I jump it. New Battery, new sparkplugs, wires and cap. Thoughts?

most peole will respond Alternator, so i will assume if you are still reading this you checked that, and its ok, if the alternator tests ok and the battery is good, but you keep having problems It is your Chassis ground from the engine block causing high resistance in the charging circuit, run a wire directly from a solid point on the engine to the negative battery terminal, this will solve your problem

Nissan Pathfinder good tow vehicle?

are the newer pathfinders years (2005-2008) good tow vehicles?? It tows 6000 it says for the v6 and i don’t want to get the v8. I have a boat that weights 2300 do you think it would pull it like nothing is back there? and has anyone ever seen anyone towing with a newer pathfinder? Thanks!

You will need to make sure you have the Nissan towing light harness installed. Trailer harness either 7 pin or 4 pin plugged in to the plug on the left rear frame under the truck. In the right kick panel some Nissan relays and jumper wiring harness to protect your pathfinders wiring harness. A good hitch & Pin in your receiver and 2,300 pounds won’t be a problem at all to tow. Gas mileage suffers when towing but gas mileage in the boat out on the water is even worse. But hey it is recrecreation right! Make sure your truck and boat keys have floats. On different rings.
