All you need to play DnD is the three core books: Dungeon Master's Guide, Player's Handbook, and Monster Manual. There are tons of other books and tons of versions of these books, but all you need is those three and you will be set to go. Everything else is just additional content to enhance your game (think Downloadable Content on a console game)

Pathfinder Dungeon Master's Guide:
http://www.amazon.com/Pathfinder-Roleplaying-Game-Core-Rulebook/dp/1601251505/ref=pd_sim_b_1

Pathfinder Player's Handbook:

Pathfinder Bestiary/Monster Manual:

Once you have all of that, http://www.help-my-rpg.com/ is a great site to find some good information on the hobby of role-playing games, especially if you're just getting started.
References :
http://www.help-my-rpg.com/

Lately I have seen drive shafts with worn out parts and calipers with to much play. Where is the sound coming from?
References :
Nissan Master Tech

Prop shaft coupling ( Doe nut ) is failing and the loud pop is caused by the shaft picking up the slack. No that seriouse but should raplace it sooner rather than later.
References :
Well the new Ultimate Races book comes out sometime in April, the Ultimate Equipment book in August, they just started up an new adventurer path, and there are always individual modules.

So yes, Pathfinder is still releasing new products. They aren't publishing quite as fast as 4e did in it's hayday, but they are still putting things out a respectable clip.

NOTE: On strike against the D&D box is that 4e, the system the box uses, will be coming to an end soon. Wizards of the Coast have announced 5th edition is in development. That does mean that 4e books will start going in bargain bins within the next year or so, but doesn't mean good things for -their- future content.
References :
Yes, Paizo is publishing new material for Pathfinder on a fairly regular basis and I see no reason to think that will end anytime soon.
References :
I think you're analyzing the "check engine" light too much. It could be as simple as you didn't tighten the gas cap enough. "Check engine" DOES NOT necessarily mean you need a tune up. It might, but it might not.

Just take it to a dealership and ask them...or any mechanic.
References :
I would recommend going to a part store like Autozone, O'reilly or advanced and have them check the codes onyour check engine light. They offer that service for free and it can help you find out what needs to be fixed on your car.

Good luck!
