The CRV or RAV4 is the way to go. The others do not get good gas mileage and are not as reliable. I had a Pathfinder and loved it, but it got about 18-19mpg. My CRV gets about 25.5 mpg avg.

Just wanted to know if either Wizards of the Coast Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 or 3 Monster Manuals will work with Paizo’s Pathfinder system. I want to start using Pathfinder, but 50 bones is pretty steep for the Bestiary when I have a ton of Monster Manuals on the shelf.

Yes, with very little or no conversion needed.

Pathfinder characters are going to be slightly more powerful than their 3rd edition ones, so you may wish to use Paizo’s free conversion (linked below) for those creatures with class levels, like a harpy archer. Alternately, as linked in the other post, you can visit the free rules and just look at the monster that has already been converted. Not all will be there as things like Beholders and Mind Flayers were not open game license, and many are brand new. However, if you were to run an adventure and never convert, you’d be just fine with a minor exception or two (such as incorporeal undead, which now take 1/2 damage from nearly everything rather than a 50/50 miss chance).

For those major changes, just peruse the free online rules for the monster "types" and see if there’s any big changes. Personally, I use both my 3rd edition and Pathfinder manuals, and I’ve seen no change in gameplay.

S10s and Sonomas are pretty good on gas, known to get 200k+ miles, and don’t look bad either. Rangers and Dakotas too but from my experience with Chrysler products in general and a Ford Ranger, the S10 will likely last the longest depending on how they were maintained. Good luck!

how many miles is too many? i see they have 120,000-150,000 miles some even more. is this ok for a used vehicle of this size? help me out here because im clueless. i don’t want a lemon but i can only afford to spend about 4,000 bucks. i know the lesser miles the better but how many miles would be considered too many? thanks.

Hi, I can tell you my step father had purchased a 1987 pathfinder when they first came out, more like 1986 1/2 model year. That truck drove every day for what seemed forever. It only needed the routine maintenence to keep going. For the price range you are looking to spend, I am going to guess that you will have to get one with higher miles. Just look the truck over for oil leaks, transmission shifting issues, and grinding sounds and feelings.

Just be smart and don’t jump on the first one you see, there are plenty of Pathfinders lurking around for sale just check many sources to locate them.

Good luck with you purchase!

Check out Consumer Reports. They have exhaustive research of most cars on the road. April is their annual auto edition. You can see it at the library. Their auto reliability records are famously accurate.

All that said, STAY AWAY FROM JEEP!!! They are very unreliable compared to many other SUVs on the road. The Nissan is a much better choice. But go read it for yourself.

I really like the Acura MDX, Nissan Pathfinder, Lexus RX300 series. On Cars.com and autotrader, they run around the same price with these stats.

Which is the best?

If you are going to be hauling a couple kids pick the MDX, if you need a real 4WD and not AWD Pick the Pathfinder, and if you are going to have the occasional passenger pick the RX because it will most likely have the least room. All 3 are nice SUV’s and my personal favorite is the pathfinder.

If it does, I might consider having it installed on my wifes 1999 Toyota Corolla. Would the installer need to set up a bypass for her Toyota. Her vehicle did come with an alarm. She has since lost remote/alarm/door opener and has to use key

First thing get your wife two remotes for her car and make a second set of keys for the Toyota. A woman in a dark parking lot should not have to fumble about with car keys. If your Pathfinder has a square end on the key it may have (NATS) immobilizer system and (chip key) you will need additional key simulator to make the truck start. 1999 was the first year for NATS.

I know they have the same slave cylinder do they also have the same clutch?
The rb25det NEO 6 has a pull type clutch its different from the r33 rb25det

The pressure plate on the NEO is different than the regular r33 rb25 because its pull type but the clutch disk is the same. Since the flywheel same crank shaft so its the same thing

and the RB25det clutch is not the same as the pathfinder
RB25det clutch: 240mm, 24 spline
Pathfinder clutch: 248mm, 24 spline

8mm is a big difference in these types of things so no you cant use one.

the ’91-’96 300zx N/A is the same as the r33 RB25det
