How can I know how much towing a car with my SUV would affect gas mileage on a cross-country trip?

Drive 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. It regularly gets roughly 13 mpg. I am planning on driving it from Long Island, NY to Fort Lauderdale, FL and I want to pull a sedan the whole way also. I know that it will cost me about $350 in gas WITHOUT towing a car, but I would like to know how much it would cost with a car being towed.

suggestion you could find transport company that could move your car

also you might want to look into Amtrak auto train (it operates
from Lorton VA to Sanford flornida
of course if you towing two car each car would be store seperately
by taking the train you would be saving some money (or at least wear and tear on the car)

Are you sure you want to do that?
Thats a long way to tow a vehicle, even with a larger SUV like your pathfinder. Remember, pulling/towing a vehicle that far can affect other things than just gas mileage. It can affect your stopping distance, wear out your brakes faster, be hard on the transmission and maybe cause your vehicle to overheat.
Anyways, i would say you probably are gonna double your fuel costs. It probably will cut down your gas mileage to 7-8mpg.
