Just bought a 2005 Nissan Pathfiinder. After 4 days, the check engine light came on. I was told it could go away after gas cycles through? I’ve also heard it can be related to the fuel gauge which often fails in this vehicle. Anyone have this experience or know what might be causing it?

In my car the check engine light comes on when the gas cap is not tight. Take to autozone or advanced, the run a free test… I think sears might too
