Service engine soon on my 2001 nissan pathfinder what do i need to do about that?

Service engine soon! Malfunction Indicator light? That light turns on when there is a issue that could cause more emissions. Anything from a loose gas cap to a major engine repair issue. Get the code read and also ask if you can write down the freeze frame data. The auto parts store will want to sell you some parts for testing for the check engine light. But please wait then ask your question again. My pathfinder has a P0303 code what should i do about it. Could a P0303 misfire code damage my cat converter?

    check with your local auto parts stores if they can give you a free code read out to see what is the problem.
