The 2001 Pathfinder recommends 5W-30 for all climates. 10W-30 or 10W-40 may also be used in above 0F temperatures. I’d recommend a conventional 5W-30 such as Pennzoil or Valvoline changed at 3,000-5,000 mile intervals depending on what type of driving you do. For severe service, stick with 3,000. For highway driving, change it every 5,000 miles. Good luck!

What ever the manual recommends..
If no manual…I would use Kendall or Valvoline 10w 40, and a Fram or Purolator oil filter….
