Increase in RPM on its own in 2001 Nissan Pathfinder?

Has anyone ever had the experience or heard of an increase in RPM on a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE? Another words, you’re driving the truck at abount 30 mph or whatever speed and all of a sudden there is a kick in RPM and the truck takes off on its own…

Has anybody heard of this?

sounds like the transmission just changed gears all automatic transmissions do that
